Seehorn Rally Team Takes 4th Win of the Season!
Spokane, Washington - Jeff Seehorn and Karen Jankowski of Seehorn Rally Team finished this weekend’s Ojibwe Forest Rally with a class win and overall podium finish. It is the fourth class win and overall podium for the team out of four events. With only two events left in the American Rally Association (https://www.americanrallyassociation.org/) championship this consistency has helped to increase their lead in their class and in the overall national championship.
The team saw a new sponsorship partner AMSOIL INC come on board prior to the event. They are based in Superior, Wis. primarily designing and manufacturing synthetic lubricants and other high-performance lubrication-related products. The team had the opportunity to visit their HQ prior to the event which was a great opportunity to get to know the AMSOIL team.
Jeff Seehorn, Owner/Driver, Seehorn Rally Team: “We started off our weekend by visiting AMSOIL and getting the tour of the facilities. I really enjoyed seeing the science behind how AMSOIL is manufactured and why AMSOIL makes the best synthetic oils to meet our needs. The rally went really well, we had a small mistake stalling the car in the first short super special stage which set us back 6 seconds, but we made that up and then some on the first “real stage” of the day. It was smooth sailing after that, we won every stage thereafter and put over 11 minutes on our closest competition in class and 34 minutes to 3rd place. Big thank you to our team for keeping us going as we had zero car issues all weekend!”
Karen Jankowski, Co-Driver, Seehorn Rally Team: “What a great way to kick off our AMSOIL partnership with a class win and overall podium finish. Really enjoyed having them at the event and being able to introduce them to rally racing. The roads are super tricky and technical at this event which suits Jeff and I very well. In the past 2 years with us competing at 9 events we have won our class and finished on the overall podium at all but one event. Consistency is hard especially in rally, so I couldn’t be more proud of the team we have built.”
Next up for the Seehorn Rally team is a return to Idaho Rally located in Placerville Idaho (http://www.idahorally.org/). The team has competed there before and in 2015 missed out on winning the event overall by just 2 seconds. Wanting redemption you can bet that they will take their experience at this event and there consistency to fight for an overall win.
